I'm looking for some type of crib soother for my DD in hopes that it will calm her since she melts down at every nap. We already have white noise so it's not necessary for the soother to have this option. I've seen some projectors that display images onto the ceiling that look cool...any experience with this?
Let me know what works for your LO. Thanks!

5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.
We have both of these. May seem like overkill, but we use both at different times.
I use the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother for DS to fall asleep to right now. It also has a temporary night light feature that I like when I need to check on him in the middle of the night and don't have to turn on another light- it's a nice soft blue glow that fades on and off. Good for searching for a paci in the crib.
He also likes the Fisher Price 2 in 1 Precious Planet Projection Mobile. I like that it will grow with him as the mobile part comes off and the images will be projected onto the ceiling instead of the mobile canopy.
Both offer white noise and/or music with or with out the illumination and both have a little one button remote so you can turn it off or on from the nursery door without going in.
We use the Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother and it works like a charm. It also easily detaches from the crib so we use it during tummy time and to keep her calm during bath time. It has a little remote that allows me to restart it without going all the way in DD's room. All-in-all it serves it purpose.

thats funny! Angry baby sensor? This thing would be playing music non-stop for my LO!
My daughter is way different. She likes white noise. But she also needs to be held tightly, and Merlin's magic sleep suit works well for her. She also likes her lovey. It's really just trial and error. I discovered she liked white noise when she had to be admitted to the hospital for a few days and I brought the white noise machine along for myself!
My mother picked this one out for ds. It's the VTech Soothing Ocean Mobile (Walmart). It's working well so far and fits our huge crib well. No complaints here.
I also use the Sleep Sheep for motn wake ups.

i don't really see the point of spending a lot of money for a projector. seems a bit over the top.
