1st Trimester

Sleeping Arms

Does anybody else have symptoms of their arms falling asleep at night?

Re: Sleeping Arms

  • I do. More like restless arm syndrome. I've had it a few nights but I changed my PNVs and increased my water, potassium, and magnesium intake and haven't experienced it since.

  • I also heard that it is carpal tunnel lead on by pregnancy! I also heard that it usually happens in the second trimester and wanted to make sure I wasnt going crazy over here! Thanks, and hope it doesnt get worse for you!
  • I have the same thing!  It's like I wake up every couple of hours in my sleep because my arms fall asleep.  I'm going to ask the doc at my first appt.

  • Yep. With DD I ended up with pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. Mine are falling asleep a little but not nearly as bad as with DD yet. With DD I had to wear braces on both hands at night to sleep.
