I do have a baby blanket! It is green with holes all over, but it is mine and my H and I sleep with it every night. When I was little, I guess even now, I always used it to cover up someone that was hurt or sick...It is my little healing tool.
After I had Bo one of the nurses asked me what the story was with the blanket--then she told me it was time to pass it on! I would give it to Bo except it is a major safety hazard! I will probably have it until the day I die and then I will want to be buried with it.
I never had one. But has a set of 4 AA blankies and they are worn so thin. Several have huge holes or edges torn off.
She does the same as you Becca. If she gets hurt, she puts her blankies on it to make it feel better.
Yep I still have one. His name is Rory, and he is a lion. It is the rattiest old thing ever, but I have slept with it as a pillow for the longest time, it just fits under my neck perfectly and I can't seem to give him up!
I figured when I went to college, or got married, or had a kid...but yea he's apparently sticking with me til he comes apart in the washing machine.

Yes! My mom made a white and speckly (is that a word?) knit blanket and she also made me a pillow. It's the bear from shirt tales, a cartoon I apparently watched.
I did, and I do still.... For real. It's shoved under my pillow!
My twin and I have had the same blankie since birth and its in great condition. It was never allowed out of our rooms as kids so its in great shape. My mom made a replica of it for Rylee when she was born. :]

I did, and still do. He wasn't from birth, or even toddler-hood, I think I got him around 6? It's a fairly large teddy bear from Gund, and I swore the tag was his name, so his name is Gund. Right now he's in the attic, and I doubt I'll ever get rid of him. I might pass him on to J, or maybe not.
JKGym - I LOVE that story! It was so cool of your mom to remake your blanket for Ry.

Yeap. I still do. Is a blanket that a old lady made when I was going to be born and she loved my Mom very much but she dies before or a little after I was born. I still use it and I cover my face when I sleep with it. Matt does the exactly same thing with his lovey haha.
I had a blankie. I believe I had it from birth probably until I was 6 or 7. Then it was in such tatters that I put it up in my closet so it wouldn't completely disintegrate.
I was so attached to that thing. I remember having a come apart because I left it at my grandma and grandpa's house and my parents were frustrated because we had to turn around and get it.

I had a blankie. I can't remember when I stopped sleeping with it...probably older than average. I still have it and have given it to DD. She has a blanket too and I'm a little sad she didn't choose my blanket. Oh well.
I had a teddy bear that I slept with for a long time. I still have it, in the closet of the nursery. I don't know that I'll every be able to part with it.
I had a doll that I took everywhere with me from about age 5 to 8. Her name was Natalie. My mom used to make us matching outfits. I think she's still in a box somewhere.

Yea still have it somewhere. My first blankie was left at the mall ( so I had to get a new one and it wasn't the same for a long time but eventually had my approval.

Had one and still have it. It's a blanket that my great-aunt made for my oldest sister when she was born. It got passed down to me when I was a baby, and I never gave it up. It can hardly be called a blanket anymore it's so tattered. I slept with it until a few years ago. Now it's in my closet.

I had a blanket named Grimmet. No one knows how I came up with that name, but that's what I called it. It has Care Bears on it. We went to my aunt's house in Ohio one summer and I accidentally left it there. One of my earliest memories is opening the box that she shipped it back home in. I was so happy to see it! I think my mom still has it at her house somewhere.

I had a stuffed dog named Cubby that I slept with and took everywhere. He came to college with me but he stayed behind at my mom's house when I moved in with DH.
Augie plays with him when he's at my mom's now. It makes me feel good.

I had a blue blanket I called "beep-it". I still have it. I don't remember when I stopped being so attached to it. But I was like Linus with his blanket being dragged around everywhere.
I also had a yellow duck named Louie. He also went everywhere. I remember plying with im when I was 6. I don't remember him much after that. His head fell to the side (as did a lot of my stuffed aninals) because I carried him around by his neck causing all the stuffing to migrate out of his neck and either into his head or body. I was devestated when I found out a several years ago that my dad accidentally threw him out while cleaning up the attic. He felt awful and said he never would've intentionally thrown Louie away. He got him for me. We have pictures of Louie on the rocks in a river, chilling on the dash while driving down the highway, and couple other pictures from a camping trip we took when I was about 4.
Not a baby blanket, but I do still have the blanket my grandma made me when I was in elementary school. It's red and crocheted and I don't really keep it out anywhere, but I'll never get rid of it.
