DD's 1st recital is coming up in June. It's a pretty big deal, about 4 shows, tickets are bought online, ect. The girls are kept back stage doing arts and crafts and the moms can change the girls at the intermission. I don't know the line up but DH thinks as long as DD goes early, we should leave at the intermission. I think it's rude and not fair to the girls who go later, however, the DD's show is at 5:30, DS usually goes to sleep by around 6:30 and all of our babysitter will be at the show. I also expect to be standing in the aisle most of the show with him because i don't see a 1 year old sitting still for more than 2 minutes. WWYD? Is it really rude to leave at intermission?

Do you have another babysitting option? I would think standing in aisle during the show would probably viewed as more inconsiderate than leaving at intermission. I know you said you there were 4 shows. Could you attend 3 and have your husband watch your DS then have him attend 1 and you watch your son?

Having been a dance teacher for 14 years and a Mom for 3 I do not think that it is rude. I think that sounds like a really long evening for kids so young. Have fun! What a wonderful event for you to enjoy,
