Well I've been admitted to the hospital for leaking fluid! My doc says I will be here until baby is born! I will be 24 weeks Wednesday. I have to get steroid shots tomorrow and the next day and also antibiotics in cause of infection! I've havent had any bleeding or cramping! I will have a ultrasound tomorrow. Have any of you ladies been through this? If so how early was your baby born? Ladies Please pray for me and baby! Thanks

How scary that must be for you.  Know that you are in great care and they are doing everything (which is a lot these days!) to keep those babies safe and healthy.  My thoughts are with you.

This didn't happen to me, but I was on hospital bed rest for 5 weeks. The nurses got the "bed rest girls" together, and there was one girl there who was leaking fluid at 22-23 weeks. She was put on hospital bed rest immediately to watch for infections, and she made it to 33 weeks. (They wouldn't let her go beyond 34 weeks bc it's too dangerous for infections beyond that. She went into labor on her own at 33w.) So, you hopefully have many, many weeks ahead of you. Her baby boy was in the NICU for about 10-11 days, and was doing fabulously.

My mom was on bedrest from 13 weeks on with my sister. She went into the hispital at 24 weeks and was given steroids. My sister was born at 28 weeks and did very well. Her 19th birthday was Wednesday and I am sure things have gotten better in hospitals since then. good luck!

I PPROMED at 35 weeks. DD is doing well.

Oy!  Good luck.  I had PROM with DD at 33.5 weeks and delivered her right away.  I went in on a Tuesday and they noticed my fluid levels "were borderline low", but didn't realize I was leaking.  That following Thursday I was admitted for hbp and subsequently fully ruptured that night.  Due to how far a long I was and the fact that I had already been given steroid shots, baby was measuring big, and I had other health concerns I delivered her that Friday.  She only spent 4 days in the NICU.  I will say though due to the high risk of infection they wouldn't "check me".  Good luck!

Keeping you into thoughts! My water broke at 31.1. I had my DS at 31.3. Tell them you want the 1st steroid ASAP! Hours could make a difference. Good luck to you.

I pPROMed at 29w2d, and I didn't deliver until 33w4d. I got both steroid shots. My twins weighed 4lbs5oz and 3lbs8oz. They were both born breathing room air and never needed help breathing. They spent 23 days in the NICU just growing and learning to take bottles. Good luck!!
