Found HB with Doppler!

Hey ladies, sorry I haven't been around too much these past few days; we've had some personal matters that had to take precident over my TB addiction.

So I ordered a Sonoline B off amazon, paying for standard shipping and assuming it would arrive in about a week, putting me at 9w when I thought it would be here.

Well, it arrived yesterday. Annnnnd I couldn't resist trying it out.

It took about thirty minutes of searching, but then, there it was. The quick woosh woosh of LO. At first it was too faint to register, but finally the Doppler picked up a HR of about 160.

DH and I just smiled and listened for as long as we could.

I definitely don't recommend everyone to try as early as I did, as it will most likely be too early to hear. But I can't fault you if you do.

I just did some more searching this morning, and found that precious sound again, still reading between 155 and 160. I even captured a quick video of it on my iPhone.

Such a great, great feeling for my PGAL brain.

So cool! I'm dying to get one, but trying to resist at least until I hear the HB at my appt May 6th. Glad you can put your mind at ease.

i am 8w3d today, so I found it at 8w2d.  They recommend waiting until at least 10w, but like I said, I was just too tempted.

I have a Sonoline B Doppler also. I got it while pregnant with ds, it was great. I'm 8 weeks now and won't use it this soon, don't want to drive myself crazy trying to find a heartbeat. I think I'll wait until after my next appointment at 11 weeks to see if my doctor can find the heartbeat using a Doppler.

That is exciting, congrats on finding it! I would have given up after like 10 mins. You are much more patiant than I.

I'm glad you found the hb!  I'd be stressed if I hadn't found it while trying.  I don't think a buying a doppler is in my future.

I can't wait to rent one. I loved listening last time. DD is going to get such a kick out of it!

that is awesome! I have one I bought on Amazon too, but I am going to try to wait until I am further along since I am just 7 weeks.

I bet it was amazing to hear LO's hb at home!
