The doctor recommended having sex to get baby in the right position and help get labor moving.
Does the position matter? Does one help more than another? TIA
I just asked my midwife about positions to help turn baby to face th right direction for delivery. She recommended laying ion your side, hands and knees and if sitting, sit straight, opposed to slouching or lounging. I would imagine you could apply some of that to sex positions, the contractions caused by he sex would help move the baby. I'm interested to see what other people think. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and delivery! :0)
I agree with the PP but my guess, if there was a position, would be the hands and knees. You can always use EPO as a lubricant. That's what I did to get labor starting with my first.
Hahahaha! You mean we have options? lol It's a miracle if I can get into ANY position to have sex, at least comfortably. Heck...thinking back to our last attempt, we tried what was supposed to be a more "conducive" position and after several attempts, gave up and went back to our old way of doing things, which was still difficult. And I do yoga so you'd think I'd be flexible enough for this stuff...Uh, huh. Right. lol

I second the OP that semen can help stimulate labor due to it containing prostaglandins that soften your cervix. That being said though, for that even to work your body has to be ready to go into labor. Semen alone will not make you go into labor.
