Not to freak you out, but do keep a good eye on it. If there's any localized swelling and/or it gets worse instead of improving, take him in. My older daughter had a pimple looking thing in her diaper area. I thought it was diaper rash, and my usual treatments weren't working after a couple days, and I noticed some more swelling. Doc took one look and sent us to the pediatric surgeon at the hospital to have it lanced and drained. Turned out to be MRSA, and was really scary. Fortunately, she's fine and IV antibiotics worked. But, in much more cautious about pimpley looking things. This is kind of a drastic case, but I literally had no idea what I was dealing with, so it never hurts to go in if you think something isn't right.
When I was changing dd diaper, I noticed a pimple(red with a white head). Should I've concerned that it is a sign of infection or just a pimple?
Yeah I agree with the person that said MRSA, although I had to google it to make sure that it's the same thing as our niece had (it is). We just called it a staph infection.
Anyway, that's what it could be, so I'd keep an eye on it.
Re: Pimple on upper thigh/butt
Yeah I'd just keep an eye on it and call if it gets worse instead of better.
