How would you pronounce it? A family friend on facebook had a baby and named her this, but I think she's pronouncing it like "ah ree ah nah"...but it should be "uh ray nuh" right?

I'm a fan of "Arya" over "Aria." I think we may actually use "Arya," and "Aria" didn't make our list. The etymology is different, as is the meaning and the cultural reference.
"Aryana" is pretty. It's persian--and some of the books say greek. It does have "aryan" in it--and that, alone, would probably send me towards the "i" spelling.
The name you quoted, as PP have stated, is Ah-Ray-Nuh.

Yes, I would pronounce that Ah-ray-nuh. If the Y *must* be present, then I would spell it Aryana if she wanted it Ah-ree-ah-nuh.
