Pinching feeling in lower left side of stomach

Hello,

I looked around , but didn't see anything about what I'm feeling. All day today I have been feeling a sort of pinching feeling on the left side  of my lower stomach, sort of the feeling I would get when I'm ovulating. I'm not doubled over in pain, it's just really annoying. I have no bleeding and the feeling is not constant. Has anyone had the same feeling? One more thing I should mention is that when I had my 6 week u/s my dr said I have a small fibroid , could that be causing the pinching? Thanks ladies!

Ps : I will of course ask my dr on Monday when I have my next appt., I just would like your input as well

Re: Pinching feeling in lower left side of stomach

  • It could be a few things. Could be the fibroids, it could be just your stomach stretching and growing, etc. Everyone's body is different. Definitely ask your doctor on Monday. By what it sounds like, you are not in any pain that would require an ER visit or something, so I just think it is just growing pains from your body getting ready for baby.

  • Thanks Tavia,

thats what I'm thinking, those damn RLP's are a pain in the butt! Hopefully the fibroid won't be too big.

  • It's probably ligament stretching.  I have been having it on and off on alternating sides for the past week.  I don't think it's anything to worry about, but with your fibroid history, I would ask the doctor though.

D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013
Two healthy boys weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs.  Only 6 days in the NICU and getting bigger, stronger and cuter every day!
  • I've been experiencing the same (@ about 7 weeks)...I haven't even gotten in to see my Dr. yet but from my "internet research" (I know, I know, risky..) this is totally normal, so long as it doesn't get really bad.  Best of luck to you and baby!!
  • Thank you for all the great answers ladies , I actually don't have a fibroid history, my dr said I probably acquired it when I got pregnant as its really really tiny. This os the only one ive ever had. As for the ovarian cyst, I actually thought it might be that, I will ask on Monday . Today I actually feel fine, it's not pinching or feeling like anything really.   I thought you could feel RLP right now, I have been feeling the stretching lately in the last week. Mostly at night.
