Miscarriage

I'm almost 100 sure I'm having a miscarriage, iv never experienced this before as I have two beautiful children. I have been bleeding for 6 days now, health professionals cannot confirm if it is a miscarriage as I'm only 5 weeks, I have to wait a further 2 weeks for another scan.

If anyone has experienced this before can anyone tell me what it is like when the sac is passed. How would I know it has? And would I feel it pass? Sorry for being so direct, but this would help me understand what I am going through.

Thank you x

  • Really!!! Right that's been very helpful thank you for your comment x
  • I'm sorry for your loss. I had a loss around 4w5d and I just had heavy bleeding with painful cramps. I couldn't identify a sac since I was bleeding heavily with clots.

Make sure to take care of yourself. The ladies on the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board are very welcoming and helpful if you're looking for some support.

That page is useful, misszoe. There's a lot of acronyms I don't get that it explains.

  • So first off I am so sorry and I know no words can tell you just how sorry I am for you and what you are dealing with.  I have unfourtanitly had 2 miscarriages and so I believe that the people that have already commented are correct.  You will pass a lot of blood clots.  My LO was about 10 weeks the first time and 7 weeks the second time and so I actually did feel it pass as it just seemed like a huge ball slidding down (sorry TMI).  I am really sorry and praying that you are not going though this and you are just bleeding as that is sometimes common.  Thoughts and Prayers
  • I'm at the ER now and I'm expecting the worse
  • So sorry you are going through this.  My first mc was at approx 7w and i didn't "feel" myself passing the sac, there was definitely a difference over a clot both in feeling and appearance, sorry so much info.  Second was at 4 weeks and that was just clots.

I hope that helps you, I'm with you in thought at the ER right no.  Take care of yourself!
