I am interested in using mama cloth postpartum, but I am wondering if it would be worth the invesment if that is all I plan to use them for. I really want to use a cup exclusivly when my period returns, but since that isn't an option PP I am looking into mama cloth. It just seems to be very hypocritical to use disposables for myself when I wouldn't for LO.

Re: Mama cloth PP
Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.
BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.
This is my plan! I was strictly a tampon user prior to LO, and was not sure about the thought of having to wear a pad for a while PP. The giant pads in the hospital were great while I needed them, but they also chafed my skin terribly. As soon as I could, I switched to the cloth ones I had purchased and it was SUCH a relief!
I use it as back up for my cup. But I can only use a small cup even though I have a relatively heavy flow.
Depending on your regular flow you may need heavier duty pads postpartum than you'd need for your period. Which may make good over night pads later on if you choose not to use cloth during the day.
