ET Cancelled Before ER =(

I'm bummed. RE called this afternoon and said he is going to do a freeze-all cycle due to having too many eggs and too high of E2 levels (he said today it was over 5,000). He's concerned about OHSS, if I do get pregnant it will get worse, and just for better chances if we wait and do a FET.  I knew it was a possibility, but I was shocked to hear he made the call before I even did the ER (scheduled for Sat am). Has this happened to anyone else?  Also because I am feeling totally fine right now (especially for having over 30 follies)...may not be the case after ER, I know, but just was shocked that he already made the call. =(

ETA: Follow up question, will I still be doing PIO shots after ER if I'm not doing ET yet? Would work out well since DH is and will be traveling for work. But I'm thinking I still have to??

Sorry you got cancelled, I'm sure it's disappointing but keep your head up. They want to do what's best for you and your future baby. Hoping you get lots of good eggs and have a bunch of frost babies!!!!!! Glad you are not having much discomfort.

Bummer!  That really stinks.  Although, after reading all the OHSS posts lately I am starting to think canceling ET in favor of a FET is the best way to go.

Did he say how long you have to wait to get a FET started?  Good luck

You shouldn't need to do PIO anymore if you are not doing an ET.   We did a freeze-all cycle (by choice) and I did not go on PIO after ER - and my period started at exactly 14dpER. 

It's definitely the best choice - OHSS is not so

Ugh, I realize getting your ET cancelled before ER is a total bummer, but hopefully it will be for the best. From what I understand OHSS is no joke, and can get worse if you do end up pregnant, so this does sound like a good decision based on your numbers

I know you are bummed, but it is for the best!!  I had a hard time realizing that after my RE determined I would be a freeze all cycle.  He actually told me about 10 minutes after I woke up from the ER.  Didn't even wait to see how my body

I'm so sorry your transfer is cancelled, but that seems like a wise and safe decision given your numbers.  You shouldn't have to do PIO if you are not transferring.  FX you stay healthy and good luck!

Sorry for your news! I was in the same boat. My RE told me before my ER that she would be quite shocked if I made it to ET...and she was right. I had 27 retrieved, and my E2 was over 4000 which seems to be the cocktail for OHSS!

Well, I just found out I am in the same boat.  My Dr. just called and said I responded TOO well to the meds (28 follicles) and he thinks that they are going to have to do a freeze all cycle and do the transfer at a later date.  Nice problem to h
