TSA security at the airport

Is it safe to go through? I've heard that recently, they stopped using X-ray technology and now it is just radio waves. I was avoiding X-rays but know nothing about radio waves. The TSA people said it was safe last time I flew, but not sure I want to trust them with my baby's safety. Any thoughts?

I talked about this with my doc while I was PG with DS. She said that in order for the baby to affected, I would have to go threw the machine atleast 100 times a day. I don't think you have anything to worry about it.

Talk to your doctor if you are worried.  I went through once with first pregnancy and DS is now two and no health problems.

I was in a line that had the scanner...I told the tsa agent that I wasn't going through that ( I was clearly pregnant and with my 3 year old) she said that since I was with the child I wouldn't have to go, so we went through the standard metal detector. &
