I teach 10th grade English, and I am usually pretty laid back. Between hormones, getting over being sick, and being utterly exhausted I totally lost my cool and screamed at my kids today. I feel guilty, but they were silent the rest of the period. :
Wow, that is so crazy! I teach 10th and 12th English. My 10th were fine today, but boy do the 12th have senioritis. I snapped once and they were dead silent. I think I said something along the lines of having to pass my class to graduate next month <
I'm taking a break from teaching high school English. I understand how it goes sometimes. They'll take the hint that you need a "time-out" and hopefully they'll be well-behaved for the rest of the week. They're getting antsy, as I'm sure you are, for t

Can't blame you! I am a Behavior Specialist in the school system and with the fatigue, hormones and craziness of school ending, my patience with it all is slim to none some days
