We went for our first ultrasound today. I was supposed to be measuring at around 7 weeks, but it was very hard to determine because I never had a period after my m/c in early March. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and they couldn't see anything, not even a gestational sac. :-( I immediately started bawling my eyes out as the tech tried to explain that it could just be too early especially considering that we don't have an LMP to go by. They drew blood to check my HCG levels to see if they're properly increasing. I'll get those tomorrow morning. Even though there is potential that everything is ok, I'm devastated. Anyone have any similar experiences to share?

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

YES! Similar story... at my first US after some spotting the midwife couldn't see anything... I was supposed to be almost 6 weeks... nothing, no sac, just an empty uterus
She looked grim, she said she was sorry, didn't see this as a viable pr

I hope it's just too early or their u/s machine was not advanced enough to pick up the image.
Do your doctor say that your tubes looked clear? I'd want to know if they looked in that area just to make sure it's not ectopic.
