First Ultrasound, not what I expected.

We went for our first ultrasound today.  I was supposed to be measuring at around 7 weeks, but it was very hard to determine because I never had a period after my m/c in early March.  They did a transvaginal ultrasound and they couldn't see anything, not even a gestational sac. :-(  I immediately started bawling my eyes out as the tech tried to explain that it could just be too early especially considering that we don't have an LMP to go by. They drew blood to check my HCG levels to see if they're properly increasing.  I'll get those tomorrow morning. Even though there is potential that everything is ok, I'm devastated.  Anyone have any similar experiences to share?

I'm so sorry.. I don't have an identical experience, but I also had my first u/s today. I thought I was 8w1d, but measured at 6w3d, almost 2 weeks different than I thought.. So it's very possible that it's just too early to see anything. I'll keep you in

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you.  Sometimes when you have a miscarriage, the hcg does not leave your system immediately.  It took me a 2-3 weeks after my D&C for the a home pregnancy test to show negative.  Is it possible tha

If you are going off 7 weeks that would mean you got pregnant the day of your miscarriage and that doesn't make any sense. I am sure you are MUCH earlier than you think. Hopefully your levels keep going up!

This happened to me about 2 wks ago. They did the same thing: hcg levels and follow up ultrasound. Hcg looked good and a week later there was a sac and a yolk sac.  I hope this is your outcome as well.  GL

I just had the same experience kind of. Suppose be 8 weeks but it says 6w3d, however my doctor says 6w 3d. But I am keeping with the 6w 3d as what it says on my ultra picture.  I think this happens all the time.

I went for an early u/s after spotting last Monday and there was nothing in my uterus at 5 weeks. I went again this Monday at 6 weeks and they saw the sac and yolk. In two weeks I go back to see if there indeed is a heartbeat. FX for the both of us!

Not 100% the same, but I went in thinking I was 7 or 8 weeks and only saw a sac. I came back a week later and saw a HB! T&P you still have a sticky baby in there.

Do your doctor say that your tubes looked clear?  I'd want to know if they looked in that area just to make sure it's not ectopic.

this happened to me yesterday. I feel like giving up. It was my first appointment, i didnt even get a vag exam she just today me to come back on friday(tomorrow) to check my levels. I feel so discouraged. please keep us updated on how it goes for you. God
