Stupid B-day party question

I really want to keep things low key, that's my typical style. We are having DS's 2nd B-day party in our backyard. We've got about 8 kids between 18 months and 3 coming over.

I currently own the following: big sandbox with toys, various balls, 2 bean bag toss games, a bubble table, a water table, a lawn mower push toy, and an outdoor rocker/see saw thing. Is this enough to play with?

Why am I obsessing over this? It's stupid and I need to get a life. Thanks!

Re: Stupid B-day party question

  • Yes.  I promise that's how all of our birthday parties were when we were little and the weather was nice.  You came over, played for 45 minutes, ate cake and left.  To me that's all it should be.

  • I think that is fine. You could add a bucket of sidewalk chalk if you have a driveway or patio they could color on.

  • Hurry and rent a bounce house, industrial bubble machine, face painter, balloon artist and your sons favorite TV character. Otherwise your party will suck and your son will need therapy for the remainder of his life.

Actually, I think you are goo

  • Sounds to me like you're set Big Smile Maybe go to your local dollar store or Walmart and buy some packages of bubbles. All kids love bubbles. And I agree with the poster who said
  • Thanks all! I needed someone to reassure me. I'm totally hormonal. Also, good point about the water table....I will have a few smocks and raincoats available to.
