I hate to be one of those patients that calls my doctor for every little reason. I've woken up the last two mornings with period like cramps. When I wiped this morning, I am assuming I have the "bloody show" that I've read about. Any suggestions for this ftm?

are your cramps/contractions strong enough to time?  if not then don't call your doctor yet.

I have a printout from the OB that says to call "if your water breaks or you are bleeding like a period (some spotting or bloody show is okay)"

This is deff. A sign to call your OB especially with blood in the area.

Thanks everyone! I drank lots of water when I got up and am timing the cramps. I figured I could call my doctor in a few hours if cramps continue.

Do you mean a show as in your mucus plug? If it's your mucus plug I was told it's normal to lose a small amount of blood mixed with mucus.  If you're losing blood without any mucus I would call your OB/MW just to make sure.

Not so sure you need to call right away. Bloody how doesn't mean you are in labour. Lots of women lose their mucous plug and don't go in labour for weeks. However if you are bleeding like a period then definitely call someone. Wait until your cramps are r
