My pressure goes up. I already have hbp. I have that white coat syndrome and it is doing me more harm than good. Then I have to lay there on my left side, a nurse comes back to check my vitals and it is still high. I can feel my pressure go up. What can I do to stay calmer?

I have white coat syndrome as well. I usually ask the dr or nurse to take it after my appointment is finished and I'm calmer. Fortunately my blood pressure runs low normally, like 100/60 when I take it with my mom or grandmas blood pressure
With my first pregnancy they always took my BP after the appointment was done as well. Most of the time it went down.
At the end of the pregnancy I did end up pre-hypertensive and had to go in twice a week for NSTs. They day I went into labor,
I forget if the automated BP machines measure high or low, but I remember that there was a noticeable difference when they used the machine vs taking the BP manually. I think it skewed the results higher.
