endometriosis?

My cousin, whom I love like a sister, has been trying to conceive for a couple of years now. She went to a specialist recently and they indicated that she may have a-symptomatic endometreosis. She goes in for exploratory surgery to confirm the diagnosis next month.

Has anyone on the board suffered from endometriosis? If so, how tough was it to get pregnant? I have been someone that she has shared her fertility struggles with and I want to understand what she is up against- though I don't want to pester her with questions. I'm trying to do the right thing in terms of being there for support, not pestering her with baby stuff and whatnot. Knowing me, I will put my foot in my mouth at some point.

She is already talking IVF. I am one-n-done, but the thought of being a surrogate has occurred to me (not sure if I'd be eligible even due to my age). I'm not even going to bring that up of course until I know what she is up against. My husband would freak out!

I have a couple of good friends with it. One has had fertility issues, the other was able to get pregnant on their own within the normal year time frame. I really think it depends on the severity of it on how it affects fertility.

I have a new friend who has it. We were talking about it casually yesterday, so I don't know all the details, but after she confirmed the diagnosis and had it treated (surgery I think?), she said she was pregnant two months later.

I have two friends with it, and I agree with PPs, it depends on the severity of it. One friend has had surgeries, and tried every type of fertility assistance, and finally had to do IVF, which worked the second time for her first LO and she just had a mis

Thanks ladies. It's nice to hear that some women have had pregnancies with treatment. :-)
