Would you consider a unisex name for your child? Our first DD is named Adelle Margaret...very feminine.
For this baby, we have Declan James picked out for a boy. We are seriously considering the name Emerson Kay for a girl. It has family value for us and we both really like the name. We've also considered the name Rosalind. No other names are on the table as of now.
I know TB traditionally has a problem with Emerson for a girl, and one traditional meaning is "son of Emery"...but it feels more feminine to me. We would call her Emma or Emmy.

Typically they're no big deal to me, but I really, really dislike the trend of naming girls "son of" names or masculine sounding surnames for first names. They're not unisex.
What about Emeline, Emilia or Eleanor if you want an Emmie or Ellie
I love the name Emerson! I actually think of it as being more appropriate for a girl than a boy.
I live in the south and we have all sorts of crazy family names that are used, maybe I'm more used to the more unique unisex names.
