Sending Cloth Diapers to Daycare

We have two systems we have been using: gDiapers with cloth inserts and bumGenius pockets. LO is with my mom/daycare from 7am to 5pm, and is 4 months old.

I am new to the CD world and would love to know how many diapers/inserts people typically send to the daycare. I just dropped my LO off to my mom, who watches him, and I gave her 11 pocket diapers plus 11 cloth inserts for the gDiaper he was wearing, and two extra gDiaper covers/plastic pouches. I realize this is overkill, and eventually we will work out how many works for us but I was curious to see what everyone else sends.

Also, I have really enjoyed reading this board, and think the FAQ at the top are very very very helpful!

When DD was that little I always sent about 9 and she would go through 6.  Now I send 7, but she only goes through 4 a day.  Sending that many allows me some wiggle room on laundry because her drawer looks empty sooner than we are out.

I send 5 every day.  But we have some sposies there as backup.  She has only come home in a backup sposie 2-3 times in 6 months.  I have since sent a couple of backup pockets that I don't like much up there to use instead of the backup spos

S is in DC from 7:30 to 5 every day.   I send 6 pocket diapers every day.  He usually only goes through 4...sometimes 5.  I always bring them all back home so that I can ensure consistent rotation in the diapers.

When I started I sent 6 every Monday with a wetbag.  Then I replaced them as needed with a fresh wetbag each day.

Now I send 5 and again I replace them as need through the week and take everything home Friday so that I can start fresh.

DD wasn't in daycare at that age but I probably would have sent 10 pockets. Now we've adjusted according to what is typically sent home and I send 6. She usually uses 4 but has used the full 6 on a bad poop day. There is also one dipe in her cubby with he

We didn't start daycare until he was12 months. I send 4 pocket diapers. He usually only uses 2 or 3. There's an emergency disposable in the bottom of the bag, but it's never been touched. He's there 8 hours and arrives in a clean diaper.

LO went through about 6-7 diapers/day at that age during work hours (he was with my sister from 7:30-5, so similar to you). I always sent 6, and she kept 2-3 extras and a change of clothes at her house JIC.
