Packer

Morning. I hate to call you out like this, but I have a pet question.

I have a 6 year old Siberian husky who gets terrible, explosive diarrhea for 3 to 4 days every 8 months or so. There has been bright red blood in his stool before. I took him to the vet the first two times it happened. No change in diet. The vet puts him on medicine for his stomach and loose stools.

I was just wondering if you had any suggestions.

Thanks.

Re: Packer

  • He eats dry dog food, a purina brand, mostly.  He gets whatever my DD gives him as snacks, so there's no telling.  He hasn't had raw hides in a few months now.

  • Thanks for the suggestions. I have no idea what they put him on for nausea, but Imodium for the diarrhea. It happens about twice a year.

I'll definitely look in to changing the food!
  • Our dog gets horrible diarrhea and skin rashes from regular foods (little bastard).

We switched him to grain free a while back and it has made a world of difference. I grumble every time I have to set foot in the mother loving "holistic pet store
