So I went to school for horticulture and have always loved gardens. Living in upstate ny its just now time to start gardening, so I planing my gardens.
1st my raised veggie gardens I have a 4 by 8 ft and two 4 by 4 gardens to plant. I also have two hanging baskets I use and so containers. I'm growing tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, peas, carotts, cucumbers, squash, Swiss chard, and tons of herbs!! So excited to start seeds this week!
2nd we're building a natural stone wall on a bank we have hated for years and in the middle a waterfall into a garden pond. I love building ponds and the gardens around them. It will be such a great spot when it's done.
3rd we have two massive maple trees near each other that cast too much shade to grow much under so for years it's been a dirt mess so we're building a big kids garden with roads for toy cards, a mini pond, a sand pit, a tunnel for the cars, avstone pile for the trucks to move and filling it with mulch to play in. I started the stone wall to go around it last week biuld a stone bench and we have a metal truck tool box in it all ready as the coolest outside toy box!!
If you made it though, thanks as you can tell I'm excited! What are your garden plans for this year?
