ear tubes and sleeping

About 2 weeks ago my 8 month old got tubes after having a constant ear infection since December.  He did not sleep well during this time but we would get a few nights of all night sleeping, even with the sickness.  I was told once he got tubes that we would see a whole new child, that he would sleep all night again.  THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!!!  He is so happy and content during the day, always has been even with being sick.  He takes naps like always and will go down and self-soothe.  At night, he wakes up at least 4 times a night and refuses to self-soothe.  I have tried everything I know how to do and even let him cry it out but he just won't stop screaming.  Anyone else having this problem? 

 

I need help and a whole lot of sleep!!!

i don't have any advice (sorry!) except maybe to ask this question on the toddler board? a lot of kids seem to be a little older when they get tubes. different sleeping issues than a baby your son's age, but you still may get some helpful info. good luck!
