Low iron

Anyone else have an issue with low iron after switching to gummy vitamins? I prefer the gummies but after i started taking them my doc told me my iron level tested below normal. So weird since i eat a lot of animal protein I didn't think iron would be a problem. Guess its back to the regular pills for me.

  • I have low iron as well. I take regular prenatals. I will have it checked again next month full expect to have to take an iron supplement. I had to do that with dd2. Maybe that is something you should consider?
  • What did your doctor tell you to do about it? I've always had to take iron supplements, pregnant or not. It hasn't been an issue.

  • I do gummie vitamins with an iron supplement. I just make sure to take the iron around when I eat. I can't stand the prenatals. I like smaller pills, and I found an iron supplement that is tiny.
