BFing multiples question

Hey all,

Right now, I BF one baby and give other baby bottle (BM or formula), and then pump at each feeding (I alternate who gets what with every feeding). Do you think I would be able to do a few tandem feedings a day instead? I typically pump only 1.5 or 2 ounces after BFing, so I'm not sure my body would be able to provide for both babies in one sitting. Does the body adjust to this, or is it too late?

FWIW, I am doing one tandem feeding a day now, first thing in the morning.

Thanks!

Your body will respond to the demand of tandem nursing, it just might take a short amount of time, like a pp said. Drink lots and lots of water and eat plenty! Babies nursing stimulates differently than using a pump, so don't worry about that part. Good l

  • I switch around from tandem feeding, single feeding, pumping, bottle feeding all the time! I've never had a real problem with supply that I don't think wasn't really caused from illness. I love to tandem because it saves time, I'm not worried about the ot
