Nurseries and Baby Gear

Mixing and matching furniture

Am redoing DD's nursery. Her furniture went to Baby's room (boy) and we bought her a white crib and a white dresser & bookshelf. Now I feel like her room has too much white along with other white accessories: piggy banks, a trio of small shelves, framed bow holder, framed poem, a set of 3 circular framed photos. I have a couple black pieces in there too but was going probably use those in LO2's room instead. Her room is painted aqua and her fabric is red and aqua with a little bit of lime green. What other color wood tone should I use? I was thinking of a light wood like a lot of the birch products from Ikea for shelving, a small chair for her, and some frames. Is that the best bet for mixing wood tones? Or should I stick to black? I'm planning a big Ikea trip soon so I'd like to have a shopping list ready and not spend 5 hours in the store, LOL.
