Every night, between 6 and 9 (usually only from like 7:30-8:45 lately but it can be for longer) DD goes through a very needy, fussy time where she cries if we're not holding her and engaging her, and she acts really hungry but screams every time I lay her down across myself to feed her. I mean screams bloody murder. I have to put her over my shoulder and pat her back to calm her down. I will distract her for a few minutes, bounce around, sing to her, hand her off to DH to do the same, but it always seems like she wants to be fed. Then I try to offer her boob and it's bloody murder all over again. DH says its even worse when I'm at work. The bottle is the ENEMY-though in her midnight feeding she takes the bottle just fine no problem at all.
Is this normal? The good news is usually by 9 she's hungry enough to eat and it puts her right to sleep. But that's the only time my DH and I have to spend together and MAN is it hard to have a conversation over a screaming infant.
Re: Is this normal?
Same here, except my LO will eat, It's as if the second DH walks in the door from work DS decides that nothing makes him happy. We've just started doing his night routine (bath, massage, nursing, DH rocking him to sleep) and it seems to help. Im
