What is your thoughts on Jace?

Our good Friend just had baby and named him Jace....We aren't big fans of it.  I was surprised when I looked it up though that it's in top 100!

I know a little Jase and a little Jace. It's nms, but it has grown on me through knowing the boys.

Sounds like a nickname, not a given name. 

 

I know someone who named her son Jayceon, nn Jayce and... well, yeah.

It just screams low socioeconomic status to me. I have a cousin who named her son this. It also fits the profile I described. Also there is a Teen Mom with a kid who has this name and they also fit this profile.

I know an adult Jace, and we all thought it was really strange when we met him (wondered what his "real" name was). I've gotten used to it and it seems more normal now, but not something I'd ever use.

reminds me of teen mom and duck dynasty too, and a kid I went to school with that did time in prison. lol. I think he spelled it Jayce though.

Reminds me of Teen Mom, too. But I would never NOT a name my baby a name I loved just because a trash mom used it.  I like Jace.

I don't really like it as a stand alone name but as a nn for Jason it's ok. Since we love Duck Dynasty the name has grown on me. I don't get the teen Mom reference, but then I try not to watch that show.

It only gained popularity after the train wreck Janelle on MTV's 16 and pregnant named her kid that. I don't understand the appeal of the name, or how someone could be persuaded to name their baby the same name as a 16 year old drug addict on tv. Odd.&
