After 5 1/2 years together and a year of marriage, DH and I will begin ttc this summer. We've met our savings goals, own a family-friendly house and both have very stable jobs. I'm 29 and feel confident about being ready for a baby, but I can't shake the nervousness. I know that it's natural, but I am honestly just very scared of a difficult pregnancy. I am fairly healthy (could be in a little better shape, but who couldn't?) but I worry about being sick throughout pregnancy. I tend to get nauseated easily as it is, and as a teacher, morning sickness could create a big problem. I also struggle with feeling tired quite often, and I worry about the fatigue that comes a long with pregnancy. I currently take B12 supplements, etc and not sure if that is ok to do while pregnant. I'm nervous that I'm going to feel awful. And of course, I'm terrified to actually give birth. My heart races every time I think about it.
How did you get over the nervousness while ttc your first? And how have you dealt with the anxiety throughout the pregnancy leading up to the birth?
