I think K is one of the babies of this group, so finally have his 18 month stats.
32.5" (50th percentile) and 23lbs 2 oz (15th percentile)
Chicken pox and MMR vaccine.
As you may remember, his pedi was concerned with his lack of growth at the 15 month, and now he has only gained a few ounces. He did grow two inches in height, so we know he is growing. He had blood work and the urinalysis done last time, which all came back clear.
So, since he has "an impressive plateau" in weight, she's sending him to a GI specialist for a consult and testing. A sweat test, is one of the tests? And if we don't find anything there, she will send us to a dietician to try to add as much healthy fats as possible. Our pedi consulted with another physician while we were there, and gave the same action plan. Things they will be looking for is celiac disease, although he doesn't have diarrhea, and cystic fibrosis, although he is very healthy. So they are stumped.
Any experience here? With the GI and tests?
Re: 18 month stats and ?'s

We had to see a pedi GI last month. A has been off the growth chart in weight since 12 months. Our pedi wanted him tested for celiac but the GI said she really didn't think that was it so wanted to look at other things first. A had been dairy intoleran
We saw the pedi GI after DD2's 15 month appt. She has always been small, was 6lbs at birth and has never been above 12% for weight. She also never followed a true curve, but bounced around 5-12% up until 15 months, when she dropped to 2%. She gained on

I don't really have any advice to offer, but wanted to say good luck with the GI, hopefully it's nothing.
L has always been small, was off the charts most of her life, and is now at 3% (for both height and weight). She was 18 lbs and 28 inc
Thanks girls! I'm glad that some of you have had a similar experience and have some knowledge. It's a sure fire way to make a mom feel nervous when you mention the words; a second opinion, specialist, disease, CF.
