Who diagnosed your child?

I'm curious who actually gave the final diagnosis for your child----mainly looking at PDD-NOS, ASD, other behavioral issues, etc. Was it a developmental pedi, a psych? And at what age? DS1 has speech apraxia (well, the speech path. in his special ed class is almost positive on that but nothing "official" I suppose from a doc), and also has a need for OT (although not sure of what dx would be behind this--as he has behavioral issues, attending issues, very impulsive, etc) Now his special ed teacher is suggesting that he has an issue with his gait and may need physical therapy (although prob won't be able to get services through school--and honestly, I'm not sure how we will be able to afford it privately, even with our cruddy insurance) I'm just curious what my next steps should be. I feel like we need an official dx --although the thought of labels is freaking me out a bit. BUT I want to make sure he's getting the "right" therapies and help.
