Sippy Cups

So,I feel like I have bought like 30 sippy cups already. The ones I thought LO would do well on, supposedly in daycare he plays with the top (nipple like spout) by pushing it down and the milk trickles out of it, so they give him the cup with the hard spout. But, that one has 2 handles and when he drinks it, he likes to grab the two handles and throw it up and down, and if in highchair - it bangs on the highchair. Tried the straw one, he just chews on the straw - doesn't suck from it.

I guess I am at a loss for which type of cup to start transitioning him on so we are consistant in the kind. How are you all doing with the sippy cup transition or in general with them?

  • With the straw its hard because its a different kind of sucking... I dipped the end of the straw in yogurt she was eating one day and she started getting the hang of it that way. After just a couple tries like that she could do it and hasn't forgotten how

  • You may also want to try juice boxes, you can squeeze a little to help them get the hang of it.
