Grabbing diaper saying ow?

This is the 3rd night if this happening. When I am putting DD to bed, she has grabbed the front of her diaper and said "ow ow poo poo" ( she calls her vagina poo poo.... She calls pee and poop poo poo too so I don't know which she is referring to ) I felt her diaper to see if she had just peed, but it wasn't warm, so I don't believe this is a result of her peeing. I checked for rash but she isn't anymore red than normal, maybe just a little on her bum and around the vaginal opening.

Tonight she didn't say ow, but grabbed her diaper twice When she had just fallen asleep.

any thoughts on this, or should I just call the pedi and ask?

  • Maybe a bladder infection? Might be worth a call to the doc.

  • If she's not saying it constantly I wouldn't think it's UTI (although I wouldn't completely rule it out.)  Did you try putting diaper rash cream or aquaphor to see if that helps?  Avoid onesies and tight diapers for a couple days to see if that

  • My son was doing that this weekend, he's got a diaper rash.  :(  I slathered him with aquaphor and it seemed better.

  • My LO constantly tried to take off her diaper and kept saying, "hurt, hurt" last month.  I had her tested for a UTI, but it was negative.  I think she just didn't want her diaper on; she prefers to be naked.

    I would def. have him
