I've been extremely nauseous for about a week. No vomiting though. Is anyone else experiencing this? I can hardly even get out of bed. Besides zofran, any advice?
Yes w/ vomiting but zofran has been life changing for me. Im exhausted but can still function thanks to the meds. You're not alone...hang in there. I take the med every 8 hours!
Try to always have a little bit in your stomach. I only had a straight week of vomiting, but was nauseous most of the time until about 11 weeks. I kept saltines by my bedside and forced down 5 before even moving in the morning. Sucked on pe
As a nurse, we often use ice packs on the back of the neck. It's like a pressure point for nausea. Or peppermint tea, if you don't like the taste, smelling it works too.
I have had nausea and vomiting. I have learned the more I keep in my tummy the better. But I also have to moderate how much. If I eat too much I get nauseous and vomit. It hasn't been fun but I am making it through!
As a soon to be nurse, I second these suggestions. If the nausea gets really bad and you end up not being able to keep any food but more importantly any fluids down, talk to your doctor, and if it's an emergency head to the ER. Your body is using more flu
Same here!! Feels like I constantly have a stomach bug! Yuck!! I have noticed that if I don't let my tummy get empty then I feel a lot better. I think exercise helps also. I am also taking unisom at nighttime and it helps a lot.
