admitted for observation..

due to high blood pressure, my doctor scheduled me for 2 non stress tests a week plus a 24 hour urine collection. I came into L & D this morning for my second NST and got the urine results too since my doctor happened to be on call. I apparently had too much protein in my urine and my lowest bp was 146/84 so the doctor admitted me. since i just hit 34 weeks, they are hoping to keep things steady by putting me on strict bed rest so they dont need to intervene and deliver baby before 37/38 weeks. hoping all goes well here today so i can go home tomorrow. poor hubby is so worried about me and the LO. *sigh* I always pictured my first pregnancy would go smoother than this!

Glad your doc are at least monitoring you. I have a similar BP but no protein in my urine, but I've been warned at my next appt I might be admitted to the hospital and be on bed rest there. I know the feeling of wishing for a smoother pregnancy! Hope you
