I've only had FETs, no fresh transfers. Our first day 3 FET in Jan 2012 (2 Grade 1 embryos) was negative. Beta was 0...they never implanted. Our second day 3 FET in Feb 2012 was with 3 Grade 2s. Two implanted and there was a vanishing twin and our daughter, Grace. We did a third day 3 FET 2 weeks ago. Pregnancy test was negative. I presented the idea of a day 5 FET to our doctor so we could see if the embryos love long enough to become blastocysts. She was totally on board with the idea, but only transferring 2 at that point. I've heard keeping the 3 and 4 day old embryos in the lab is better than putting the 3 days old ones in the uterus because the lab similates a fallopian tube better, which is where they would naturally be. Anyone have solid knowledge on day 3 vs day 5 transfers? Thanks!!

Re: Day 3 FET vs Day 5 FET
I had sucess with a 3 day fresh cycle transfer , a 6 cell grade fair and a 8 cell grade good, resulted in healthy twin girls. With my pregnancy now, I did a 5 & 6 day FET transfer of an Early blast and Expanding blast graded good/f
