We're making plans to go to CA for her 2nd bday. I can not believe I impulsively agreed to this shizz. 7 years I've been with H, and this will be the very first time I'm meeting any of my inlaws besides my SIL who lives 20 mins from us.  

I'm afraid. :[  

After 7 years, I'd be terrified too. Any specific reason why you haven't met them yet?

Well, his mother came out here to CT when we had first started dating and I didn't feel ready to meet her at that time. Besides that one time, none of them came out here and we just weren't in a position to get away for any amount of days before now. We're only gonna stay for like 3 days.. Baby steps

LOL not only are we NOT staying at their house, I told him the only way I would even consider it is if we rent a car from the airport. There's no way I can jump in the car with strangers that I am now awkwardly related too.

So yea, it shouldn't be too bad.

 

P.S did I mention his parents ONLY speak spanish? Double awkward!!  

Oh AND out of his 5 siblings, H and SIL are the only ones NOT currently living there with their parents. And yes, they are all grown, married with children grown. Triple awkward!
