I'll admit, i was a little pessimistic about telling my group of friends that i'm expecting. . . they are mostly older in their 30's an d 40's while i am 27 and quite a few of them are not on the marriage/family track in life.
I figured they would feel pity for me, be uncomfortable around me, or just avoid me since we now have VASTLY different lifestyles. But, i have been just so grateful and impressed by how they have embraced me and the baby. In fact, the only negative initial reactions I got were from my parents and one coworker! . . . then there's papa, who i actually did bexpect to take an interest, at least in how i'm doing given his being a paramedic but, c'est la vie right?
Did anyone else have "expectations" about how the pregnancy reveal would go that ended up being totally off base? I ask because I am preparing to do the big FB reveal in the next week or so and I'm worried anew that I will be met with judgemental hostility.
Yes, i know that "shouldn't matter" and it doesn't in the long run, but you mamas have been here and done this and I figured if anyone could prepare me it'd be you guys :
