Chicken pox!!

So I'm pretty sure DD has the chicken pox :-( She's been fussy and overtired for the last few days and suddenly she has 5 or 6 red spots on her body this afternoon. Going to call the pedi tomorrow to see what to do, but from what I've read there's really not much to do other than buy calamine lotion and tylenol. Ugh!

Has anyone else had a baby this young get chicken pox? I don't know if I should expect a more mild infection or if it is more severe in young babies. Here I thought my kids were going to be spared the chicken pox since we have a vaccine now! Stupid daycare germs.

    Aw, I hope she feels better! I had chicken pox as an infant, and my Mom said that my case was very mild. PP had a lot of great advice, GL!

    That totally sucks!  I hope your LO feels better soon.  Like pp, I had them before I was a year old and my mom said it was a pretty bad case.  I'm alive and well... er, I'm alive anyway ;)
