I've worked too hard to get where I am. And DH and I really don't like the dynamics we see in one-income families; it's just not the example I want to set. It works great for some families, but it's not at all for us.
If $ were no object, I'd definitely quit, but I would also put DD in daycare part time so I could do volunteer work or a job that I love that pays squat.
I would quit, but get more involved with some of my volunteer passions. DS would go to daycare once or twice a week because we think it is good for him. And heck, money doesn't matter!
I would quit only if DH had insurance. I am the one who carries it (DH is a student). I would keep DS in daycare, because it gives him the opportunity to interact with other kids, however I would not keep in there FT.

I'd still work, but fewer hours. I like my job and I'd want to return to it eventually. We have very few openings and if I quit, I probably couldn't get back in this office for a looong time, if ever. Plus, I think it will set a good example for any kids I have to see me with a good career.
Not to mention that my DH does not like his job and I think it would unduly stressful on him to have to be the sole breadwinner.
And even though it sounds good sometimes, I felt a little nutty when I was at home full-time!
Ideally I would work 10-15 hours per week. Just enough to get me out of the house and feel productive. And the job would also give me health insurance.
Yes definitely. by "no object" i'm thinking zillions of dollars so we'd be like the Jolie-Pitts and just travel the world and have multiple houses... sigh. i can dream..
"If $ were NO object" - yes I would quit immediately. I would take some time off to work out every morning, like I see those women do on the walk paths, every morning while I head off to work. After a month I would try to find a volunteer job or a part time job at a retail store or something.
I'd quit or go part time but keep full time daycare and do more of my own stuff. I'd like to learn to paint, take up piano again and just not have the stress in my life.
But I don't like being isolated without contacts at work so I'd probably do 1-2 days a week just for that.
And "money no object" means I can still do the shopping I would do with a full time job right?
I would cut back - but not completely. I would hire someone to run the day-to-day tasks of my co. and do that PT and also go to school...Put DS in daycare PT, and pursue my other interests as well. So, no, I wouldn't quit completely.
I would definitely quit the job that I am in now but I would probably do something part-time for a few days a week just so I wouldn't go out of my mind at home everyday.
I absolutely would quite until all of my kids started school. (once we have more) Then I would work part time so that I could still be involved with their schools and extra curicular activities.
Hell yes I would quit. That would be my dream. I may even move states so that DD could be around more family and have a lot more children to play with:) That would be awesome!
