Tonight, we are C-I-O! The little weasel has been waking us every couple hours for several weeks now. She must be stopped. 

I put her down at approximately 8:20pm. She's been wailing for 30 minutes. She's going all out, throwing her paci across the room and sobbing for mama. She's even started the gagging routine. No holds barred. 

This is war, people. Pray for me.

I always start strong, but she wears me down. She convinces me that she's emotionally devastated -- until I go in to soothe her and she laughs at me. Literally laughs at me!

Ugh I hate sleep training with a passion. It has to be done sometimes though. Stay strong! Don't give in. As long as she knows your coming in eventually she'll keep crying.

And just so everyone knows -- this is actually the second devastating, insurmountable problem I've had today. I went to the mall earlier and realized that I want waaaay more crap that I can afford to buy.  ::snif

Stay strong and have a glass (or many) of wine! When we did CIO, we got rid of the paci for bed, too. We just did it all at once. By the 3rd night, she only woke up once "whining" for 2 minutes, went back to bed. For the most part since then, she's STTN.

How'd it go?  I hope you won the battle.  We sleep trained at 15mo, and it's not easy.  Alcohol definitely helps.

She fell asleep after about 40m of screaming. DH handled a wakeup at 3am. She went back down, and slept until 7am.

The 40m doesn't bother me as much as the 3am routine. I think we need up let her cry, but DH always gets up.

We are transitioning V to a crib at night.  It is so hard to not get caught up in their emotions.  I do enjoy my extra space at night, well until the dog moved in.  I hope night 2 goes smooth!
