1 year old bedtime help

My lo just turned one 2 weeks ago. Until recently, he has gone to bed relatively easily (still wakes in the night-sigh) immediately following a bottle (Neocate). In the last 2 weeks, between separation anxiety, being sick, and recent reflux following ear tube surgery he has struggled immensely getting him down crying until he pukes up the milk he just drank! Gross! I quickly clean and put him down shortly after and after some crying he falls off. So, I am wondering what others' routines are at this point. Obviously, a bottle right before bed (in the dark room) was a way to get him down with relative ease, but I am afraid this isn't working. I am looking for alternative bedtime routines and success stories.

  • What leads up to bed? We are incredibly consistent.. Dinner at 630, bath, brush teeth, milk, bed. Dd always knows that dinner leads to bath and bed. We recently got rid of bottles. I'd like to switch the last milk to water but I think we need some time be
