I'm pretty sure it's a full panel. Otherwise, what is the point? Herpes is very dangerous and transmittable during birth.

I am an OB RN. The only STDs normally tested for in pregnancy are chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV and syphillis. The first two are a cervical swab usually done in conjunction with a pap....the pap will pick up on hpv.

Also, herpes isn't dangerous during birth unless the mother has a current outbreak. In that case the OB would preform a csection.
