Dreft alternative

I was at target yesterday and surprised to see Dreft baby detergent 2x regular. Are there any suggestions for alternatives out there?

  • You can use ANY detergent free of dyes and perfumes.  It doesn't have to be specially made for baby.

We use either Tide Free or Cheer free & clear.

  • If you got something without all the chemicals seventh generation, Honest Company, Rockin Green, etc. you could just use that one for your whole family's laundry.

  • We used All free and clear anyway. So we stuck with that
     DS1 8/2011. DS2 8/2013.

  • Perfect we already use ALL free clear so ill just stick with that. I also like 7th Gen products.

  • So it basically just needs to be hypoallergenic?
  • At BRU they also sell All for babies. That's what I plan on using since I use regular All for DH's & my laundry.
  • We're switching All Free Clear. I buy the BIG jug, so it just makes sense for us all to switch.

  • I think dreft smells way too strong. I use Norwex for like .08 a load. No fillers or chemical fragrance or dyes.

  • I picked up BabyGanics at BRU today to wash clothes I picked up at a consignment sale. It was 26 for 130 loads. Once we run out of that and our adult detergent we will be making our own with fels naphtha, Borax, and washing soda. We bought the ingredients

  • We used Tide free and clear the whole time. No sensitive skin here. I was already using it for all of our laundry.

  • I use regular Tide and if the babe shows signs of a reaction I would change to Free. I haven't had a problem yet.
