When to tell everyone?

So DH and I are debating when to tell family we are expecting. The wait is killing us! Our first ultrasound is next week (I would be 8 weeks at that point). We dont want to do it too soon just in case! When did everyone announce it to family?!

We have told right away all times. Two times I've miscarried. One time I had a live birth. You just have to do what feels right for you. Realize that there is always a chance that you will have to untell.

Mine was so excited that the moment I walked out of the exam room and flashed a thumbs up he posted the picture from the home test to Facebook. He is so excited because we have waited a long 4 years for this.

I told family the day after the +HPT. My thought was that I'd want their support either way. My SO and I each told 2 really good friends who we know won't spill to others. Everyone else will find out around 12 weeks.

Didnt tell until 14 weeks.

I told my mom and best friend right away, I would need their support even in the worst case scenario. Personally I think waiting until the first ultrasound when you hear/see the heartbeat is best, but really it just is what you feel most comfortable with.

We told our family and friends at 4 weeks! But my general doc estimated me at 8 weeks so it seemed like a normal thing to do...crazy that she was so off (I have irregular cycles). But if I knew I was only 4 weeks at the time, we probably would have just t

We have always told our family members right away. We have two daughters and had one miscarriage at 14 weeks. I wouldn't change sharing about our pregnancy we lost, because our family was very understanding of our loss.

I don't think we will announce till we know the gender.  But I know people that announce as soon as they find out. We are scared to announce. We had IVF done after 5 years of TTC.
