Just curious when everyone's baby started sitting unassisted.  My little guy will be 6 months old next week and he still need to be propped up for the most part.  He's getting pretty good at scooting in circles when he's on his tummy but not so much with the sitting.

You're not alone. My son will be 6 months on May 8th and he still needs assistance for sitting. I have bought him the bumbo seat which helps stimulate sitting. I also bought a bright starts exersaucer that also stimulates sitting/standing. He has

My DD started tripod sitting around 5 1/2 mo and wasn't really sitting upright till about 6 mo. Even then she wasn't super steady.

I don't think my son was sitting until 7 months, and he wasn't that steady until closer to 8 months.

My two older boys were sitting with very little assistance at 6 months and by 7 months they were pros at sitting :-)
