Follow-up ultrasound and official due date

I had an ultrasound last Monday and was measuring 5 weeks which seemd to be several days behind where I should have been. I had my follow up today so I was hoping I would hear that the baby was measuring 6 w 3 d which would have been correct based on the 5 weeks last week but it was measuring 7 weeks!!! The tech said that prior to 6 weeks it can measure anywhere up to 4 days ahead or behind with no problem. We also heard/saw the heart beat at a strong 138bpm. So my official due date is now 12/6. Yay!

That is so wonderful what a relief. I knew that the early ultrasounds are iffy. That's why I won't go in prior to 8 weeks along unless I have to! No reason to worry needlessly! So happy for you!

My first appointment was today and we were moved back a week to 7 weeks. Same heartbeat and due date!!

love reading this! at my first ultrasound, i was measuring 2 to 3 days behind and it makes me so nervous. i wasn't even 6 weeks at the time. we did hear a good, strong heartbeat but ill be able to breathe easier after our follow up ultrasound next week ho
