I am doing the standard grocery store birthday cake for DS1's 3rd birthday party on Sunday. Near us we have Publix and Kroger and I know he is going to want a Star Wars cake which both stores have.
Which store would you order the cake from? All grocery store cakes taste the same to me and I really can't remember if one store has a better reputation than the othet. Thanks!

*Siggy Warning*
About me 2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!
I was always a vote for Publix until recently. I ordered two cakes for DH's surprise party and when I went to pick it up, they had lost my order. No big deal, I figured they would apologize and make it right, by giving me another cake, etc.
I've never had Kroger's but Publix cake is awesome! I don't know how well it would go over with a three-year-old, but they have a lot of different flavors of filling that you can put between the layers. I like the raspberry one, but the boston cream is
SCANDAL!
Publix cake is the best!
Unless you live in NC and can get a Harris Teeter cake.
